Two of the most important steps in your healing journey are to first have the courage to seek help and second to work with a therapist that will listen to you and help build a relationship of trust and understanding. A warm and supportive therapeutic environment is the basis for exploration, insight, and growth. Through a conversational approach, the therapist and patient are able to explore concerns, navigate a path toward change and, over time, celebrate the successes. Within this collaborative relationship, the client and therapist work together to identify difficult patterns of thinking and behavior in the client's life and replace them with helpful patterns to improve their relationship with themself and others.
