Daisy Munoz-Alcazar, LMFT

Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist located in Palo Alto, CA

About Daisy Munoz-Alcazar

Two of the most important steps in your healing journey are to first have the courage to seek help and second to work with a therapist that will listen to you and help build a relationship of trust and understanding. A warm and supportive therapeutic environment is the basis for exploration, insight, and growth. Through a conversational approach, the therapist and patient are able to explore concerns, navigate a path toward change and, over time, celebrate the successes. Within this collaborative relationship, the client and therapist work together to identify difficult patterns of thinking and behavior in the client's life and replace them with helpful patterns to improve their relationship with themself and others.

Daisy earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Santa Clara University followed by a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University. She has extensive experience with children, adults, and families focusing on a range of presenting problems, including relational issues, trauma, depression, anxiety, and ADHD. Daisy uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with other therapeutic models to work with clients in an approachable and individualized manner.

Languages: English, Spanish

Please note, although our practice is located in Palo Alto, we also serve many patients located in the surrounding Bay Area, such as South Bay, North Bay, East Bay, Peninsula, San Jose, and San Francisco
