About Dr. Bendahan

Tamara Bendahan, MD embraces a holistic approach to helping patients improve their mental and physical well-being. She treats a broad range of psychiatric conditions and her particular areas of interest are in anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, and women’s mental health. She uses an integrative style of treatment that may include medication and psychotherapy that is tailored to meet your specific goals. Her therapy technique draws from psychodynamic and behavioral psychologies that can help individuals better understand their feelings, thoughts, and relationships.

 

She completed her Adult Psychiatry Residency at Columbia University and Public Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of California San Francisco after graduating from medical school at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. In addition to her work at Palo Alto Mind Body, she is currently a Clinical Instructor at UCSF Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital as well as a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Fellow at the San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis.
